Barrie E. Stachel

barrie-featureBarrie has been Of Counsel with Gabriel & Ashworth since 2014, bringing with her diverse and business-oriented legal experience.  She is a 1992 graduate of Arizona State University law school. Barrie’s client base includes both employers and employees. She advises and defends employers faced with claims of harassment and/or discrimination based on gender, disability, age, race, national origin, and religion, wrongful termination, breaches of contract, and other torts. She also conducts independent personnel investigations and serves as a hearing officer for Indian tribes.  Barrie regularly advises employers on preventive employment practices and compliance with various employment laws, including the FLSA and FMLA.  Additionally, her practice includes drafting handbooks, personnel policies and employment-related contracts and policies.

With regard to employees, Barrie counsels individuals on employment contracts, restrictive covenant agreements, separation agreements, discrimination and wrongful termination claims and other employment matters.
